Golladay, J. S. (Jacob Shall), 1819-1887

Jacob Golladay served as captain of Company B, 33rd Virginia Infantry until he was promoted to major in 1864. He was wounded at the Battle of Malvern Hill in July 1862, suffered from fever and rheumatism in November 1863, and was captured at Woodstock, Virginia on September 23, 1864 and sent to Fort Delaware. He was released on July 24, 1865. The compiled Confederate service records for Golladay describe him as blue-eyed, dark-haired, and 5'10''. From the description of Letter : to D...
